Cami the tiger cub looks just like his brothers and sister except for one special feature, his unique smile. Born with a cleft lip and palate, Cami doesn’t think much of it at first. But as he grows, eating and drinking become harder, and the teasing from his siblings starts to sting.
When a doctor suggests surgery, Cami isn’t sure he wants it. Instead of saying yes, he sets off on an adventure from the misty mountains of Nepal to the wide-open savannahs of Rwanda in search of a place where no one will notice he’s different.
Along the way, he meets wise and wonderful animals, a water buffalo, a zebra, and a giraffe who teach him about the power of teeth, the importance of a healthy mouth, and the courage to take care of his health.
