Book publishing - The light through the trees!

Have you considered venturing into the mysterious and daunting world of publishing a book? Does it seem a complete nightmare to have to navigate your way through the complexities? Well, fear no longer, as it is not quite as difficult as it may seem, and all it takes is a little time, patience, and research (and a small amount of money!).

As with most things these days, there are several self-help guides to publishing available online, but many can take a while to decipher and understand, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the terminology. This in itself can deter many people from having a go themselves, which is perfectly understandable. Let’s face it, we all have better things to do than sit bleary-eyed in front of a screen full of jargon that makes no discernible sense!

Therefore, as an additional benefit to clients choosing our comprehensive book creation package, we can now offer straightforward advice about how to publish your book! It’s not magic, and the advice we give won’t provide you with a best-seller overnight, but we will explain the basic processes as simply as we possibly can!

It’s important to note, however, that no matter how you eventually decide to publish your book, it will not achieve significant sales or become successful without a good marketing and promotion plan.

Consequently, it’s vital to consider this as early as possible in the process, ensuring you have everything ready to generate lots of interest in your book before its release and hopefully even gain pre-sales. Many publishing companies will offer some kind of help with marketing and promotion, but the level of support you receive will vary greatly and will generally depend on the package you purchase from them. Even so, in the end, much of the work surrounding the sales and promotional work, and therefore, the ultimate success of your book, will be down to you.

To help you with this, we can provide you with correctly formatted and copyrighted images taken from your book to use on social media platforms and websites. We can also design other assets for you, including banners, posters and flyers suitable for book signings and other promotional events. We can even provide you with pdfs for colouring sheets made from the illustrations in your book that you could perhaps use as giveaways to promote the book. Or, you could even consider having a colouring book made to sell alongside your storybook?! In fact, whatever your promotional needs  – we can design it for you!
